US government must pick up the pace with cyber security

As cyber
security continues to evolve, greater measures are needed to keep up with the changing trends.
According to a recent study conducted by the Intelligence and National Security Alliance, the United States must develop greater cyber security intelligence defenses to deter such threats. The organization believes the country should establish cyber policies, greater research devoted to warnings, as well as more collaboration among government agencies and businesses.
"While there is a great deal of focus on current cyber security issues, there is little focus on defining and exploring the cyber threat environment at a higher level," said INSA.
Although terrorism and natural disasters remain top priorities for the U.S. government, some high-ranking officials believe cyber security is of the utmost importance.
Since cyber security remains a global issue, the U.S. government remains a target for attacks, including from other governments. As a result of this development, Admiral Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told Bloomberg's editorial board that cyber security and nuclear attacks are the top concerns for the United States moving forward.
