Cloud computing security a hot topic at major conference

Discussion at the recent International
Cloud Computing Conference and Expo in New York centered heavily on issues of cloud security, according to a report from CSO Online.
"Attendees listened to speakers discussing topics such as business-critical security and compliance in the cloud, leveraging the cloud to enable identity driven security, high availability in the cloud - architectural best practices, public cloud adoption with sensitive data and using single sign-on to access
cloud-based services," the publication stated.
The topic is apparently still a hot one in the cloud computing world, experts say, despite the recent uptick in adoption rates. While this may mean that business IT decision-makers are getting over that concern, it doesn't mean that it's not still on their minds.
CSO also reported that vendors offering Security-as-a-Service products could be set to do well in the burgeoning cloud computing market. Addressing the main cloud concern in an innovative way may well be the step that lets
cloud services gain even broader acceptance in the enterprise IT community.
