Universities to offer courses on cloud computing

With a complex maze of technical jargon circulating online, many businesses are wondering exactly what
cloud computing is, and why they should upgrade to such a system. Cloud service promotes a cost-effective combination of existing hardware and software into a platform that makes incredible amounts of data easily accessible. However, this definition does not even scratch the surface of the potential of cloud computing, and the world of academia is taking steps to educate the general populace.
Officials at Bond University in Australia recently announced new courses that educate both undergraduate and graduate students on cloud computing. The official major is entitled "infrastructure," and teaches the fundamentals of cloud theory, from creating to managing a specific cloud. While still uncommon, courses are being offered at American universities like Stanford as well.
The hope is that international universities will soon provide similar courses to promote IT careers in cloud technology. When students graduate from these programs, they will be better prepared to enter the fast-paced cloud industry and inspired to increase cloud capabilities and organization.
