New study reveals cloud satisfaction levels reaching the stratosphere

It appears many U.K. businesses are satisfied with their current cloud computing operations. According to a recent study of 450 IT professionals by the Cloud Industry Forum, nearly half are currently using the technology in at least one business-critical function.

Additionally, of those surveyed, 94 percent are satisfied with the benefits they have received from using the cloud.

"This is an extremely high figure and is clear evidence that the market is not immature and that businesses that have embraced the opportunity perceive that they are reaping the benefits they sought," said the study.

Of the 6 percent not satisfied with the cloud, much of the negative responses had to do with the migration process. Of the 12 IT professionals dissatisfied by their service provider, all came from mid to large enterprises.

As companies worldwide adopt the cloud for their organizational needs, another study also points to the market reaching a mature level. According to Avande, more businesses are investing in cloud security and support, as well as looking at the cloud to increase revenue. Taken together, all of these factors are representative of a maturing market.
