Virtela won the 2011 INTERNET TELEPHONY Excellence Award for its Cloud-based Mobile Device Management Service, the industry's first global cloud service for managing and securing mobile devices. Presented by TMC and INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine, the seventh annual awards recognize companies for outstanding achievements in IP communications solutions, based on demonstrated improvements these solutions have made to customers' businesses.

2011 American Business Awards

Virtela was named the winner of the Customer Service of the Year Award for Virtela's Global Operations Center in the 9^th annual American Business Awards. Virtela was also a finalist in two other categories:

Virtela was named to the Cloud Sourcing 100 Index, Alsbridge's independent review of the service offerings and capabilities of 100 leading cloud service providers.  The classification and rating system is based on CIO responses to a series of structured questions and discussions of cloud buying criteria that took place during Alsbridge's CIO Roundtable on Cloud Sourcing in January 2011.
