    Key Responsibilities

    • Managing development, testing and production VM and physical server environments
    • Automating and improving existing processes

    Minimum Requirements

    • 7+ years of Linux administration experience
    • Mastery of GNU/Linux (Redhat/CentOS/Ubuntu), expertise with Logical Volume Managers, network troubleshooting, bash, Python and/or Perl programming
    • Strong customer service attitude with superior people skills
    • Superior puppet skills. Experience writing manifests is required. Hiera, PuppetDB, and Puppet 3 experience are a plus.
    • Strong experience with the VMware, KVM, and VirtualBox hypervisors
    • Highly self-motivated. Willingness to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion
    • Able to lead troubleshooting, optimization, and performance tuning of applications, databases, and Unix systems

    Overview:

    The Director of Service Delivery and Implementation must be very well rounded to provide overall leadership, direction and management to the service delivery organization which is responsible for the physical and logical implementation of new customer orders. This person must have extensive experience with the logical configuration of Cisco routers, routing protocols (BGP and OSPF) and BGP routing configurations to other ISPs. While technical skills are very important and an absolute requirement, the ability to be assertive and lead large groups on challenging issues and projects is just as important. This person must be open and available to the possibility of resolving issues outside normal working hours, seven days a week.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conceptualize and work with other organizations to automate tasks improving efficiency and accuracy
    • Managing groups of network engineers and project managers
    • Oversight of the circuit provisioning group management
    • Working with customers to implement and turn up their new services, addressing any customer concerns and issues
    • Communicates and coordinates network and security service installations with customers, suppliers and internal personnel

    Required Skills and Experience:

    • Must have 10+ years of experience with providing enterprise customer managed network and security services (managed IP, router, firewall, etc).
    • Extensive technical skills (10 years) in the Internet industry and in customer service implementations, NOC, IP Operations, IP Engineering, and IP Architecture fields.
    • 6-10 years management experience with a dozen direct reports including writing annual evaluations.
    • Must be intimately familiar with the logical configuration of Cisco routers and routing protocols (BGP and OSPF).
    • Technical Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred).
    • A professional or expert level Cisco certification a plus (CCNP, CCDP, CCIP, CCNP, CCSP, CCDE, CCIE)

    Position: Information Technology Specialist/Technician

    This technical position provides support for all IT areas for C-Level Executive Support, Executive Briefing Center, AV equipment and related technologies. Support includes Specifications, installation and testing of computer systems and peripherals within established guidelines.     Scope of Work

    The IT Specialist is responsible for the day to day operational activities of Executive IT/help-desk support, Network administration and A/V systems.

    Responsibilities

    Job Summary

    The successful candidate will lead and transform the OSS and BSS applications to act as an application architect.  Working collaboratively with Business SMEs and software engineers, to design and deliver advanced applications with state of the art graphics, intuitive navigation, and next-gen UIs.  These applications will support Virtela’s OSS and BSS applications, for automated provisioning and service creation, work-flow automation, asset and inventory management, and 3rd party ordering / billing systems integrations.

    • Design and development of real-time mission critical software, preferably in the area of workflow management, B2B integration, and operational Managed Services support systems in the data communications field.

    Job Summary

    Professional Qualifications

    • Prior telecommunications experience managing and/or directing an IT operation.

We’re responsible for much of what the customer sees and hears about Virtela.  The Virtela product marketing team is looking for outstanding talent to build awareness and generate demand for Virtela’s extensive portfolio of managed services. This position will be responsible for the company’s managed network services offerings, including IP/MPLS networks, broadband VPNs, remote access, and WAN optimization services.

    Virtela is offering relocation package for relocation to Denver. Also right candidate can work remotely from anywhere in the USA.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Create and drive global marketing plans that increase awareness of Virtela as a provider of managed network and Cloud services such as IP/MPLS, Ethernet, DSL, remote access, application acceleration/WAN optimization.
    • Develop messaging and primary customer facing content: data sheets, brochures, presentations, case studies, webinars, websites, white papers, byline articles and others
    • Meet Customers and Prospects in the field. Use key learning’s from ongoing interactions and communications with existing customers and prospects for research, testing and ongoing feedback
    • Coach sales teams for effective opportunity identification; qualification; and communication of value propositions, differentiators, competitive positioning and features/functionalities of Virtela’s managed network services
    • Communicate with industry analysts, media, and key influencers to ensure that Virtela and our managed network services maintain a favorable position
    • Define sales opportunities and market entry strategies based upon market place dynamics, product benefits, and competitive positioning
    • Define and develop effective sales training programs and materials

    Professional Qualifications

    • In-depth knowledge of enterprise managed network services such as IP and MPLS VPNs, remote access, Ethernet, DSL, other Layer 2/3 networking services, application acceleration/WAN optimization, business continuity/disaster recovery, converged services, etc. a must.
    • Solid understanding of the global and local network services providers and the value added resellers (VARs) in the networking space
    • Passion for and experience in outbound product marketing directly to enterprises.  Direct marketing to VARs a plus
    • Experience creating compelling marketing programs and messaging
    • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
    • Results driven; does what it takes to get the job done and naturally goes the extra mile
    • Ability to thrive in a fast paced work environment as well as adapt to continually changing priorities and aggressive project timeframes
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize time with minimal supervision

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or computer science related field preferred.
